Obituary of Louis J Baumgartner

On November 22, 2018 Louis J. Baumgartner went home to the loving hands of the Lord. He was born May 16, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to John and Evelyn (Miller) Baumgartner. He is survived by his sister, Mary and Dr. John Beck, his brother, John and Lauran Baumgartner and his daughter, Lynn and Jim Morke. Preceded in death by his wife, Joan. He leaves many nieces and nephews and Joan’s children, Caroline and John (Laura) Kandziora; his numerous dear friends who visited and who have worked tirelessly to keep Louie comfortable, happy and loved over the years. Louis was known for his kind and compassionate spirit. His faith in the Lord was first and foremost in his life. He had a passion for caring for the sick and elderly. He always tried to make their day a bit brighter. His favorite activity was driving a school bus for the children of the community. He followed along as they grew and became involved in athletics. Louis often would attend their events cheering for his friends who gave him so much joy. Louis served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was an active member of the American Legion for over 50 years. Louie was a proud Republican who was always more than willing to discuss conservative issues for hours on end.
