Obituary of Virginia V. Stewart

Virginia V. Stewart, age 88, of Hancock, passed away Tuesday morning, August 7, 2018 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. She was born December 1, 1929 in Chicago, the daughter of Fredrick V. and Evelyn M. Sylvander Hendrickson. She married Charles T. Groves in 1947. She later married Theodore “Ted” R. Stewart on December 30, 1978. Mrs. Stewart purchased their home in the Hancock area in June of 1961 and later moved there in 2003 from WoodDale, IL. She was an active member of the Roger Oestrich American Legion Auxiliary. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by both her parents, one sister, husband Ted and son, Gerald Stewart. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in the Colburn/Leola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Stahl Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services.
