Obituary of Albert J. Schinner

Albert J. Schinner, resident of Hancock WI, formerly of Shorewood and Whitefish Bay, died suddenly, working at his home outside on July 4, 2018 at the age of 89. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonse and Irene (O’Brien) Schinner, sisters Grace and Mary, brother Robert and his first wife Patricia (Hoffmann). Al will always be remembered and loved by his wife Rozann(McKeon), his son Mike(Debbie), daughter Jacqueline Doyle (Sean), and his five grandsons Paul, Phillip, Patrick, Seamus and Ronan. Al played varsity football, basketball and tennis at Shorewood High School where he graduated in 1947, and he continued to enjoy playing and teaching tennis with family and friends well into his 80’s. He helped his brother Bob build the RJ Schinner Co., founded in 1951, into a highly successful company, until he retired to his beloved tree farm, Sweetwood, in 1984. A time to join together and celebrate Al’s life will take place on Monday, July 9th at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Plainfield WI, with a visitation at 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30am. Al will be laid to rest in the Hancock Cemetery at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, a Go Fund Me has been set up In honor of Al Schinner with all funds going to the Tri-County School Forest in Hancock, WI.
