He was born in Normal, Illinois on June 12, 1944 to Raymond and Vada (Bosaw) Leinweber, the seventh of eight children. Sisters include Shirley (Jean), Ione, Phyllis, and Joyce. Brothers are Lawrence (Eddie), Art, and Ron. Joe married Sharon (Strand) on June 22, 1992 in Almond, Wisconsin, the second marriage for both. Joe is survived by his wife, Sharon, and his children, Austin Becker, Dawn (Chris) Nigh, and Jeff (Suzanne) Leinweber, and by his step children, John (Missy) Wilson, and Renata Rosholt. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Kevin, Zachary, and Elizabeth Nigh, Josh, Courtney, Rachel, and Turner Wilson, and Kaitlyn Wilson, and many nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Ronda, and by both his parents. Joe was a huge Nascar fan, and always cheered on his favorite, Jimmy Johnson, #48. He also enjoyed fishing with his favorite fishing buddy, his nephew, Tom Elliot. Joe also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, but in the last few years he used the term “Butterfingers” and a few other choice words while watching them. A lover of guns and shooting, vehicle swap meets, and car shows, Joe was always busy.
